Position: Telecom Field Technician
Location: Dallas, TX (Traveling)
Duration: Full-Time
You must live within the Dallas, TX area and be willing to travel up to 75% both locally and non-locally.

SQUAN has an exciting opportunity available! We are looking to add to our growing engineering team in the Texas area. We are looking for field technicians that have previous experience gathering OSP field information. Experience utilizing AutoCAD is also a plus.
As a field technician, you will be traveling for most of your shift so you must be comfortable with traveling and working in different weather conditions. Your primary job responsibilities will be to complete your tasks in a timely manner while paying attention to detail and your surroundings. Field data may include utility pole attachments, measurements for construction paths, buried facilities, right-of-way and roadway dimensions, cabinet or building inventory, as well as any additional notes to aid design and/or construction.
You must be comfortable utilizing your own vehicle. You will be reimbursed for mileage.
You will be provided with on-site training within a team environment. As you gain experience, you also gain options for advancement.
Responsibilities
Utilize company-provided equipment to collect and transmit field data.
Work safely in urban, and rural environments.
Collect accurate information to be used in telecom design projects.
Communicate potential obstacles and problem areas immediately.
Requirements
Previous experience as a field technician/engineer.
Willing to travel up to 75% of the year.
Possess and maintain a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
Ability to read and understand online and/or printed maps.
Proficiency in AutoCAD is a plus.
Willing to work outdoors regardless of season or geography.
Comfortable with handheld hardware such as tablet or iPad.
Motivation to adapt to industry and client changes.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Previous experience in telecom is a plus.
