Position Description:
TITLE: Construction Manager
DEPARTMENT(S): Wireless
DIRECT REPORT(S): Supervisors, Laborers, Construction Crews
REPORTS TO: Project Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
Managing daily activities of installation crews, contractors, and field staff working on daily projects for customer installs, NSD, maintenance, Mods, and raw land site builds. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with leadership experience managing internal and external personnel. Must be able to manage multiple personalities, skill levels and will work in the field. Candidates must be open-minded and willing to be flexible in a growing environment. Travel throughout the state and can perform tasks outside the office. Additional Travel may be needed as necessary.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Strong background in telecommunication standards, operations, and scheduling personnel.
Supports the PM in bid estimations for commercial and government projects.
Strong conflict resolution skills to communicate between the customer, personnel, contractors and subcontractors on the project site.
Will conduct field duties such as Audits, Site management, and equipment delivery if needed. Must be a team player.
Manage logistics in the warehouse to ensure proper inventory of materials assigned to each project.
Meets with client management teams to provide updates on project goals, timelines, challenges, and bid opportunities.
Works with PM's, Safety, and Leads in the company to establish goals for the market.
Must be willing and able to travel. Regional and Statewide travel is a critical part of success for the ideal candidate.
Will conduct surveys, site walks, audits for internal and external projects.
Will utilize various software and technology for redline drawings, designs and support documents for invoicing.
Will be responsible for project budgets and work closely with the executive team to procure materials and equipment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of eight years in telecommunications field experience, supervisory role required in telecommunications managing crews and tiger teams
At least 8 years of field experience commercial/government
Bid estimation experience for telecommunications
Valid drivers license and excellent driving record
Must be able to pass a DOT physical
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
High School Diploma or GED
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Bi-lingual (Spanish/English)
Undergraduate degree
Military background can substitute for college degree (verifiable military leadership experience)
