SQUAN CONSTRUCTION, LLC is Hiring a Coax Splicer Near Richardson, TX

Position Description: Job Title: Coax Splicer for High Split Project
General Job Description: The primary responsibilities of the Coax Splicer will be to splice coaxial cables and conduct component change outs in both outdoor and indoor settings, read, create and maintain schematics and diagrams, support project timelines, and inspecting, designing and providing accurate information for projects. Other duties, responsibilities and qualifications may be required and/or assigned.
This position is production based and requires fieldwork that may include weekends, holidays, and off hours. Travel will be required.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Splice coaxial cable, change out both passive and active components as needed and test functionality in both forward and return spectrums. Prepare and maintain records, schematics and diagrams as required.
Perform work in accordance with industry standards. Be familiar with local customer standards, read and follow design engineers instructions and specifications, maintain the scope of work on the project and adhere to safety procedures.
Participate in engineering, permit and construction processes to support project as needed.
Skillset / Abilities
Knowledge and ability to follow instructions. Experience with coax splicing along with general understanding of industry testing practices and standards.
Experience with working aloft in bucket truck adhering to all safety protocol as required.
Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
Ability to pay close attention to detail and make good sound decisions based on information given.
Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure.
Must hold a valid Drivers License.
Minor Duties & Responsibilities:
3-5 years experience
Read communication effectively in English
Able to perform rigorous physical labor.
Able to lift 50lbs.
Able to work for extended periods in various locations when required.
Able to identify unforeseen obstacles that would hinder safety or production.
