Position Description: POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Trainee eager to join our training program and learn Coaxial Cable Mechanical Splicing and RF Activation. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in electrical engineering, telecommunications, or a related field, who are eager to learn and excel in the art of coaxial cable mechanical splicing and RF activation. The trainee will work under the guidance of an experienced trainer and is expected to demonstrate a proactive attitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety in the field. Travel is required as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Participation in Training Program:
  • Actively engage in a comprehensive training program for mechanical coaxial cable splicing and RF activation.
  • Attend theoretical sessions, hands-on training, and practical exercises.
Learning and Development:
  • Demonstrate an enthusiasm for learning and mastering mechanical coaxial cable splicing techniques and RF activation principles.
  • Seek to understand and apply the training content effectively.
Safety Adherence:
  • Prioritize safety protocols and guidelines during training sessions, demonstrating a strong commitment to safety in all aspects of the work.
Problem Solving:
  • Apply problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and address issues that may arise during mechanical coaxial cable splicing and RF activation activities.
Effective Communication:
  • Communicate effectively with the training team, asking questions, seeking clarification, and sharing insights as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Enthusiasm for learning and gaining expertise in mechanical coaxial cable splicing and RF activation.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and apply problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with trainers and fellow trainees effectively.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Technical Aptitude: A natural aptitude for understanding technical concepts, as well as the ability to quickly grasp the intricacies of coaxial cable systems, connectors, and RF activation.
  • Safety Awareness: A strong awareness of safety protocols and guidelines, with a commitment to adhering to safety standards in the field.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Willingness to work a rotating day and night shift
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
  • Previous experience in a related field.
  • Additional certifications or coursework related to telecommunications and cable industry.
  • Familiarity with RF activation principles and equipment.
  • Knowledge of advanced mechanical coaxial cable splicing techniques.
