Overview

SquadLocker’s second shift print room team is on the hunt for a Printer/Operator to be a part of our next phase of growth! As a Printer/Operator on second shift (3:30p – 12:00a), you’ll use a computer to receive our customer’s artwork files and will send them to print on our Direct to Film (DTF) machines. You’ll monitor the outputs of the DTF machine and, throughout the process, will keep eyes on the equipment to ensure everything is running smoothly. Once designs are prepped and printed, the team will pass logos to the next step in the manufacturing process, ensuring our customer’s garments are customized with the highest quality.

Qualified candidates will know how to use a computer/the internet, are comfortable being on their feet all day and are experts at handling multiple tasks at once. You’ll need to be a quick thinker and a team player, ready and willing to pivot throughout your day. We need Printer/Operators who are willing and able to work second shift hours (3:30p – midnight), in addition to flexibility to work OT hours as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a computer/use the internet to receive, queue and send customer artwork to Direct to Film (DTF) printers
• Manage multiple jobs in various production stages while checking for quality defects in the manufacturing process
• Prepare, monitor and maintain Direct to Film printers; Add supplies (glue, inks, film) as needed
• Perform light maintenance and calibration of printing and finishing equipment
• Prioritize rush orders or damages that require immediate attention
• Perform self-checks and proofread work by other team members in accordance to operating procedures
• Detect any problems with the files and alert Leads/Managers
• Comply with established facility safety policies and procedures; Keep area safe and clean
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
• Adhere to daily schedules; Communicate with team members when unable to work
• Clean up work area and machines at shift’s end

Qualifications

We are looking for ambitious individuals with a history of high achievement and the desire to work in a fast-paced environment with peers who challenge them to be better. These are the qualifications:

• 1 to 3 years’ experience in manufacturing or production environment; Experience in printing preferred
• Proficient computer skills; Familiarity with various computer/printing software
• Able to physically move quickly and navigate between equipment
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction and multiplication
• Capable of walking, squatting, kneeling, bending, crouching, reaching, crawling, or twisting as needed; Able to be on your feet for duration of shift
• Able to lift and/or move large items, up to 25 lbs
• Great communication skills, both oral and written; Spanish-speaking skills a plus!
• Willingness and ability to remain flexible and adapt to change
• Commitment to working second-shift hours, flexible schedules; Adherence to on-time arrival for shifts
