PAY GRADE: Para 5
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The primary role of the Data Clerk-Financial Information Systems is to support the Financial Information Systems department with the district’s time keeping system – Time Clock Plus (TCP). This position will function as the first level of support for all TCP questions and will be responsible for entering missed punches, leave days, and compensatory time. The Data Clerk will be responsible for basic TCP training; will monitor various TCP reports for reasonableness/correctness and will assist with minor eFinancePlus data entry as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:

High School Graduate or GED from an accredited institution
Three years of secretarial and/or clerical experience
One year of timekeeping or job related experience

Preferred:

One year of job related experience in an educational setting

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

Knowledge of TimeClock Plus
Expertise in data entry
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong math skills
Strong attention to details and accuracy in work
Familiarity with eFinancePlus

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Provide assistance to department TCP managers.
Provide assistance to TCP users regarding clocking in and out.
Maintain TCP data integrity by working with department TCP managers to enter missed punches, leave days, and compensatory time into TCP.
Work with TCP Managers and end users to correct errors when identified.
Provide basic training for new TCP managers.
Monitor various TCP reports for data integrity.
Maintain employee confidence.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Multi-tasking efficiently in an environment that has frequent interruptions, while maintaining emotional control under stress. The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: prolonged periods of time sitting; repetitive hand motions. There are heavy telephone responsibilities and prolonged use of computer. There may be occasional overtime.
