Job Summary:
Tavern by Spring House Brewing Co is seeking a highly organized and experienced GM/Dining Room Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. The GM/Dining Room Manager will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, managing the dining room staff, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our guests.
This is a part time position at 32hrs/week with a tentative schedule of: Thursday-Monday. Please do not apply if this schedule is not within your availability.
Duties:
- Manage the front-of-house staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Ensure that all guests receive prompt and courteous service
- Monitor dining room activity to ensure efficient seating and timely service
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house operations
-Regularly update and maintain POS system (Toast)
- Oversee inventory control, including monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and managing vendor relationships
- Implement and enforce health and safety standards to ensure compliance with regulations
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner
-Respond to all inquires as well as manage social media accounts
- Maintain a positive working environment for staff, fostering teamwork and providing guidance as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in restaurant management or a similar role is required
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in POS systems and other restaurant management software. Toast and r365 knowledge is a plus!
- Knowledge of food service management principles, including inventory control, cost management, and menu planning
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in interviewing, hiring, and training staff members
- Must be RAMP certified
