Summary/Objective
The position of Family Service Advisor is established to assist families and individuals with planning for funeral and cemetery needs which includes pre-need funeral, pre-need cemetery, and at-need.
Essential Functions

· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal associates at all levels and with outside client families, vendors, and organizations
· High level attention to detail
· Self-starter with the ability work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects
· Experienced or ability to learn multiple computer programs and platforms
· Must Possess or have the ability to obtain an Ohio insurance license
Primary Duties but not limited to:
Family Service Advisor – Spring Grove Cemetery & Arboretum
· Ability to work independently and maintain the highest levels of professionalism
· Outstanding customer service skills and sensitivity to grieving families
· Handle confidential correspondence, including compiling letters, editing, re-writing
· Outstanding presentation skills, prospecting and closing skills
· Work Duty days when on the schedule.
Development/Training for FSA’s (Family Service Advisor)
All FSA’s must obtain their insurance licenses through Ohio within the first three (3) weeks of employment.
Once licensing has been secured, the initial training period consists of a base salary lasting up to 180 days. Once training has been completed the FSA’s then converts to a draw plus commission plus bonus. Interpersonal Sensitivity: Demonstrates sensitivity to the emotional and related needs of others. Is respectful of others and enhances confidence and self-esteem in co-workers and others. Brings personal balance and consistency of behavior to supervisory tasks.
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, printers and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; squat; and reach with hands and arms. Required to lift up to 20 pounds.

TravelLocal travel may be required for support.
