The Credit Analyst will serve as a primary partner to the Senior Vice President overseeing SGL’s Pittsburgh office and the Senior Credit Analyst/Loan Officer for that market, reporting directly to the Senior Credit Analyst. Critical tasks will include:

· Communicating with potential borrowers to collect diligence documentation
· Analyzing diligence information provided by borrowers to inform transaction structuring and credit review
· Preparing term sheets to support initial transaction negotiations and credit memorandums to support the loan review and approval process. This may include analyzing guarantor financial statements and tax returns, as well as appraisals and other project documentation, and preparing project cash flow projections based on these sources.
· Supporting loan closings, including the collection of required documentation and coordination between SGL’s closing department, borrowers, and title companies to facilitate closing
· Portfolio management activities including setting up and reviewing construction budgets, coordinating construction inspections, and reviewing and approving draws.Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytic skills, with an emphasis on quantitative analysis, and a highly detail-oriented approach to work. He or she should be proficient in excel, and a strong communicator verbally and in writing. Familiarity with the fundamentals of commercial real estate credit analysis is a strong Credit Analyst plus, but not a requirement.
