Overview:
We are seeking 2-Part-Time (shared role) or 1-Full-Time dedicated Medical Administrative Associates to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidates will have experience in medical administrative support and be proficient in various medical office software systems.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure excellent patient care coordination
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Open and close office as needed
-Greet patients and visitors in a polite, courteous, professional manner at all times
-Answer phone calls/direct calls/complete telephone encounters and respond to inquiries promptly and efficiently
-Attend monthly/quarterly staff meetings
- Schedule office appointments (new and existing)/maintain cancellation list
-Schedule testing (MRI, CT, EMG, FCE, labs)
-Verify patient insurance using appropriate portals, benefits, and W/C status
-Mail information to patients for upcoming appointments/NP Letters, Referral Letters
-Copy patient information for patients and case managers
-Collect co-pays and surgery deposits
-Call for physical therapy notes and test results
- Pre-certify testing/Assist with prior authorizations
-Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining patient records
- Print/distribute daily schedules
-Fax/mail medical records (limited documents/office notes that are requested)
-Scan documents
-Put together NP folders
-Provide other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2 years current experience in a medical office setting is preferred
- Proficiency in using eClinicalWorks medical office software is preferred
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of medical records management and confidentiality protocols
- Familiarity with phone systems and office equipment
Office Hours
Monday - Thursday 8am-5pm
Friday 7am-3pm
