Job Description:

The League Manager is responsible for the successful development and operation in a variety of disciplines throughout Nook Sports. These disciplines may include but are not limited to the scheduling and development of our youth and adult recreation leagues.

Essential Job Functions:

• Meet all expectations outlined in the department budget.
• Develop marketing plans and work directly with the Sports and Tournaments Director to successfully execute all internal tournaments, leagues, clinics, and camps.
• Develop and Execute all Adult Recreation tournaments and leagues.
• Develop and Execute youth soccer and futsal leagues with our Sports and Tournaments Director
• Provide leadership and training to game-day coordinators.
• Network with and recruit local and regional school and club program soccer coaches.
• Communicate with coaches and team coordinators on all league-related items including schedules, rules, waivers, or any other necessary information.
• Work with Sports and Tournament Director to provide necessary staff support at Spooky Nook Champion Mill
• Provide friendly & supportive customer service for all league participants.
• Help meet revenue goals determined by the Nook Management Team
• Manage expenses associated with all leagues, camps, clinics and tournament-related activity.
• Execute financial plans outlined in the department budget.
• Coordinate and schedule leagues & tournaments.
• Provide a positive and encouraging atmospheres for all coaches and team members.
• All other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Preferred working towards or earned degree in Sports Management, or related field.
• Must have dependable transportation to and from work
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong leadership skills and guest services/customer service background
• Previous participation in athletics/clubs/school programs preferred
• Must be able to work under minimal supervision
• A positive and friendly attitude towards guest, customers, and fellow employees.
• Must be able to follow and explain directions both written and verbally
• High proficiency of a variety of technology and software programs
• Ability to safeguard confidential information
• Ability to remain calm in tense or stressful situations

Working Conditions:

• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to work both indoor and outdoor in all weather conditions
• Physical requirements necessary include walking, standing, bending, and lifting
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
