Spiller Park Coffee is seeking a barista to join our teamat PCM. The ideal candidate will be passionate about coffee, have strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As a barista, you will be responsible for creating quality beverage and food products, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and providing exceptional customer service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Take customer orders and efficiently prepare beverages and food items• Work with a diverse team in a busy, cafe environment• Operate coffee equipment and maintain cleanliness of equipment and workspace• Ensure quality and consistency of products served• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently• Anticipate and respond to customer needs and requests• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and clean work environment• Adapt to needs in a dynamic environment as directed by leadership

Qualifications

• Prior barista experience preferred but not required• Excellent customer service skills• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment• Basic cash handling skills• Flexible schedule with availability to work weekends and holidays

The physical requirements to work at Spiller Park Coffee are as follows:

● Lift 10-40 pounds regularly. Lift 40 pounds occasionally. Pull or push a cart with 250 pounds of items. ● Ascend/descend a step ladder. ● Stand on feet for 7 hours. ● Operate a POS terminal for 2 hours at a time. ● Operate kitchen equipment for hours at a time. ● Regularly access low and high areas that may be at irregular angles (low and high shelving) ● Work in hot environments. ● Work in loud environments. ● Reach above head and below knees.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
