Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee, tea beverages, and snacks to our customers. Your friendly demeanor and exceptional customer service skills will ensure an enjoyable experience for all patrons.
Duties:
- Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee and tea beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and specialty drinks
- Take customer orders and process payments using a cash register or POS system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations
- Operate coffee equipment such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewers
- Prepare food items such as pastries or sandwiches as needed
- Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Barista
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating order totals
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a barista
- Strong knowledge of coffee and preparation of intricate drinks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Pay:
The hourly wage ranges from $16.50 to $19.00, with additional earnings possible through tips and bonuses.
