Spieker Companies, Inc. is Hiring a Regional Property Manager Near Palo Alto, CA

Well established Property Management Company in business for over 40 years, seeking an experienced Regional Property Manager for a Portfolio consisting of 20 Apartment Communities located in the Bay Area and Peninsula.

  • Create annual property budgets, review monthly financials and ensure properties are meeting budget goals. Reconcile variances with accounting, supervisor, and owner as requested.
  • Interview, hire, and train new team members. Perform annual performance reviews.
  • Mentor a team of community managers, leasing agents, and maintenance staff. Provide leadership, set objectives, and lead by example to motivate the team to meet or exceed occupancy goals.
  • Analyze market surveys, create and maintain marketing plans. Provide rate recommendations and rental data to ownership.
  • Perform regular site visits with your staff to ensure communities curb appeal is compelling, that safety issues are addressed, that vacant units are made ready timely and that the rental offices are operating in accordance of company policy and fair housing laws.
  • Maintain successful resident relation by providing prompt customer service, and ensuring properties well maintained.
  • Oversee service vendors to ensure they are meeting contract expectations. Work with construction team to identify capital improvements of both interior and exterior projects. Negotiate contracts.
  • Work closely with corporate departments to ensure the needs of day to day operations in accounting, property management, and IT are met.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 5 years managing apartment communities 400-1000 units
  • Must have established experience managing a large staff of leasing, marketing, and maintenance personnel.
  • Possess a thorough understanding or apartment maintenance.
  • Experience in managing capital improvement projects
  • Highly organized with a meticulous attention to detail
  • Flexibility of work hours - evening and weekend availability
  • Familiar with Yardi software and Rent Café.
