Scope

Spiegelworld is looking for full-time Bar Porters to join the team at Superfrico at Caesars in Atlantic City. The Bar Porter Apprentice is responsible for keeping the bar stocked and ready for service. The ideal candidate will have the ability to anticipate the needs of others, work seamlessly between tasks in supporting a bar operation that is fun, efficient, and polished without pretense. Ultimately, you’ll ensure we provide excellent guest service by supporting your teammates, keeping the bar area prepared, and staying guest-focused.

Primary Job Duties

Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:

• Deliver prompt, efficient and courteous service of food and beverages to guests in accordance with established standards.
• Demonstrate full knowledge of service bars and keep bars properly stocked and cleaned.
• Follow company standards of hospitality by making eye contact with every guest, smiling and offering a warm and friendly greeting with the proper verbiage.
• Help other employees when needed.
• Provide exceptional service that differentiates us from the competition.
• Perform side work and other cleaning and organizing.
• Check with the manager before the shift ends.
• Make every effort to learn guest names and use names.
• Taking part in pre-service duties and applicable closing duties
• Adhere to established grooming and appearance standards, including maintaining a clean and well-maintained uniform.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least six months of experience in a bar, lounge, nightclub or full service restaurant in a luxury setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Passionate about guest service and delivering the best guest experience each and every time.
• Work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
• Effectively assist with a wide variety of personalities and situations requiring diplomacy, tact, friendliness, poise and firmness.
• A highly motivated and energetic personality with a strong commitment to excellence in hospitality.
• Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to initiate conversations with others in a polished, professional manner. Must be teamwork oriented and self-motivated
• Effectively communicates verbally with staff, while reading, speaking and fully comprehending English
• Comfortable improvising in the moment as part of the guest experience.
• Able to work in a club/nightlife atmosphere with loud music and flashing lights.
• Maintaining any necessary licensing and work cards required, present and future. Must maintain proper safety and sanitation standards.
• Following a conditional offer of employment, able to show proof of being fully vaccinated, able to get vaccinated within 15 days, or have a qualifying medical or religious exception. Willing to participate in employer-paid COVID-19 Mitigation protocols which include weekly testing and onsite screening.
• Must have valid work authorization for the US
• At least 21 years of age.

Preferred

• Previous experience working in an energetic, hospitality driven restaurant or nightlife venue.
