About the Role

Spiegelworld is looking for an Assistant Video Technician to join the team for our brand new production, DiscoShow, at the LINQ in Las Vegas, NV. An ideal candidate will have heavy operational and production experience in live shows with a specialty in Disguise media servers and integrating across multiple disciplines, including audio, lighting, and video. Experience installing resident shows and video system commissioning, as well as intimate knowledge of show control will be key to success in the build of this exciting new show currently being installed at the LINQ. This position earns $37.50 / hour. 

Responsibilities: 

• Assist the Head Video, our vendor, and design team to build a system supporting, Roe LED Wall and Floor Products and Disguise media servers. 
• Assist creating documentation and preparing maintenance schedules for ongoing operations.
• Being on call during your shift to resolve any problem that may arise as quickly as possible.
• Collaborate with, learn from, and teach team members from each discipline and venue so that we can operate as a team.
• Actively engage in our antiracist commitment and internal practices by participating in offered learnings, engaging in conversations around Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, and helping us maintain a safe and welcoming workspace.

Any candidate must have proficiency in each of the following areas:

• Live show production
• Video signal distribution
• AV system networking
• System troubleshooting
• Good communication
• Quick decision making
• General computer use for installing and configuring programs, changing windows network and display settings, email, etc.

What you Bring: 

• Disguise Fundamentals Certification
• Q-SYS Level 1 or 2 Certification
• Dante Level 1, 2, or 3 Certification
• Lightware Extender Experience
• Show Control Experience

Special Physical Requirements:

The employee must be able to regularly lift 25 pounds and occasionally lift 75 pounds. Specific vision acuity requirements include close vision, depth perception, and color recognition. This person will frequently be required to be on step ladders up to 12' and extension ladders to 26'. Occasional use of a man-lift up to 40' will also be required.
