Spero is Hiring an Environmental Technician Near Los Alamos, NM
- Perform field work, including soil/groundwater, air monitoring, sediment, and surface water samples for laboratory analysis.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Field Team to set up all necessary field equipment for sampling activities.
- Support geophysical, geologic, and geotechnical mapping projects, and assist with GIS activities as required.
- Assist in the installation and development of monitoring and remediation wells.
- Ensure compliance with required safety and security training.
- Document all field activities in project logbooks.
- Maintain regular communication with environmental staff, operations personnel, management, and other relevant staff members in a collaborative manner.
- Promote and uphold QRI's safety culture.
- Current driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a drug/alcohol and federal background check for facilities and installations.
- 2-5 years of environmental field experience with federal projects.
- Current 40-hour HAZWOPER and/or 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher training.
