Spectrio is seeking a System Engineer to join our team. Successful candidates will be a key component of a high functioning team of IT professionals. Responsibilities and Duties

• Reports and escalates to Director of Operations
• Identify system data, hardware, or software components required to meet user needs.
• Communicate with staff or clients to understand specific system requirements.
• Research, test, or verify proper functioning of software patches and fixes.
• Provide advice on project costs, design concepts, or design changes.
• Provide technical guidance or support for the development or troubleshooting of systems.
• Document design specifications, installation instructions, and other system-related information.
• Define and analyze objectives, scope, issues, or organizational impact of information systems.
• Evaluate current or emerging technologies to consider factors such as cost, portability, compatibility, or usability.
• Provide customers or installation teams guidelines for implementing secure systems.
• Establish functional or system standards to address operational requirements, quality requirements, and design constraints.
• Investigate system component suitability for specified purposes and make recommendations regarding component use.
• Evaluate existing systems to determine effectiveness and suggest changes to meet organizational requirements.
• Configure servers to meet functional specifications.
• Perform ongoing hardware and software maintenance operations, including installing or upgrading hardware or software.
• Direct the installation of operating systems, network or application software, or computer or network hardware.
• Train system users in system operation or maintenance.
• Responsibility for security.
• Responsibility for documenting the configuration of the system.
• System performance tuning.
• Ensuring that the network infrastructure is up and running.
• Plan and design data center implementation for external clients and internal growth

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

• 5 experience in IT field
• Must have AWS certification required 
• Understanding of security protocols and procedures (network firewalls, email filtering and spam protection, password protection, principle of least privilege)
• Knowledge and experience troubleshooting Windows 7/10 Pro as well as a familiarity with Windows Server 2012/2016/2019
• Knowledge and experience troubleshooting virtualization environments (HYPER-V, ESX) and storage solutions
• Experience with Windows Active Directory (user management, GPO management, domain hierarchy)
• Experience troubleshooting software, hardware and networking issues with desktops, laptops, servers, switches, routers and access points
• Knowledge of Windows file and print services as well as experience with installing and troubleshooting printers
• Experience with Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 email
• Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment (coordinate phone calls, client contact, remote sessions and issue resolution)
• Excellent technical, analytical and critical thinking abilities to solve problems in an evolving IT landscape
• Collaborate in team environment to resolve issues in a timely manner as a commitment to our clients’ priorities
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to be able to effectively communicate with vendors and clients
• Knowledge of automotive dealership DMS (CDK, Reynolds and Reynolds, DealerTrack) preferred
• On-call support may be required to meet business demand
