Job Overview:
Spartan Construction Group is seeking an ambitious Assistant Project Manager to join our team. This candidate will assist in organization of projects, subcontractor management, documentation and communication with owners and architects This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in project management.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in project planning, pre-construction, samples, submittals, coordinating field measurements and subcontractor office interface.
- Assist Senior Project manager with documentation collection, organization and distribution.
- Prepare and maintain Long Lead Items ETA charting.
- Participate and engage in Owner Architect Contractor Meetings, as well as Contractor Subcontractor meetings.
Qualifications:
- Equivalence of 2-4 year degree in Construction Management or related field
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and procedures.
- Experience with Plan and Spec Construction Installations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Previous experience working on K-12, Publicly Owned Facilities, Owner occupied Remodels.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, Smartsheets, and Google Suites.
