ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Prepare and present financials and associated reports.
• Manage the A/R, A/P, P/R, general ledger and collection function.
• Assist with and/or oversee payroll processing for the organization.
• Must be a fully involved manager and be able to work harmoniously with both employees and other management personnel.
• Must have good knowledge of general accounting theories, principles, and practices with a solid knowledge of Government accounting.
• Coordinate outside audits with outside independent auditors and regulatory agencies (DCAA), oversee preparation of required items.
• Establish and maintain accounting procedures and controls and monthly accounting calendar

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Payroll processing experience, managing balance sheets, & cash reconciliation 
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Accounting management.
• Lead a team with 2-3 direct reports.
• FFP, T&M and Cost plus Contracts experience desired
• Financial Statement preparation
• Experience on CMS a plus
• Experience with hands on preparation and review of incurred cost submissions and forward pricing rates

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Experience using Unanet Financials or other DCAA Compliance software.
• Prior Supervisory Experience
• FAR/DFAR/GovCon exposure (experience w/ FFP, T&M, and Cost Plus contracts)

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance Preferred. Experience in lieu of degree also accepted.
