Sparks Security is looking for security officers in the Greater New Haven & Hartford areas. We have several openings for part-time, and per diem positions.

Applicants must possess a CT Guard Card and a CT Blue Card for armed positions. Dependable transportation is required and superior customer service skills are a prerequisite for employment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform security patrols.
• Monitor client properties in order to deter criminal activity.
• Must be alert and aware of surrounding at all times.
• Observe and report.
• Provide assistance to business owners in emergency situations.
• Keep logs and records of incidents at assigned locations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• Military or law enforcement background preferred but not necessary.
• Must have a valid CT Guard Card, or Blue Card for Armed Positions.
• 12 months or more experience as a security officer preferred.
• Able to pass pre-employment background check (including fingerprint clearance) and drug test.
• Able to legally operate a motor vehicle.
• Able to stand and or sit for extended periods of time.
• Able to work in all weather conditions and extreme temperatures.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 32 per week
