Looking for applicants living in the Old Saybrook and surrounding areas. 

***MUST BE ABLE TO COMPLETE ONBOARDING AND PRE-EMPLOYMENT TRAINING WITHIN 30 DAYS FROM THE START DATE*** (ALL TRAINING paid at state minimum and paid after 1st week of employment)

***Looking for a responsible 24 hours per week (4pm-12am- Thursdays, 5pm-1am- Friday & Saturdays) security officer to cover a fixed post. 

PAID PRE-EMPLOYMENT TRAINING AFTER 1ST WEEK OF WORK (paid monthly training required)

HOLIDAYS PAID AT TIME AND HALF RATES (mandatory for new hires)

Qualifications and Skills Requirements:

• Possess VALID Security Officer License
• Have a VALID Driver’s License
• PAID PRE-EMPLOYMENT TRAINING AFTER 1ST WEEK OF WORK (also paid monthly training required)
• Minimum High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience - Higher Education is a plus
• Have reliable transportation
• Be able to pass a Drug Test and Background Check
• Be fluent in English (read, write and speak)
• Have basic computer knowledge

Job Description (depending on post/site):

 1. Check in with the Manager on Duty
 2. Collect a Radio from the Front Desk
 3. Review events for the evening
 4. Check in with the Restaurant Manager
 5. Perimeter check, start of shift
 6. Be present at the conclusion of weddings as guests move about
 7. Monitor wedding after parties 
 8. 9pm onwards monitor parking lot for noise and any unusual/inappropriate activity
 9. 9pm onwards monitor activity/noise from Marina Bar
 10. 10pm onwards monitor 2nd and 3rd floors for noise
 11. 10pm onwards monitor noise from the Marina
 12. Perimeter check, conclusion of shift
