What will you be doing?
Loading plants and materials for projects
Operating equipment and tools necessary for the job
Planting trees, shrubs, flowers and other plants and learning best practices for planting
Unloading trucks at the end of the day
Working with a great team and our fantastic customers

Physical Requirements: Please Note this position is labor-intensive and requires the following actions and abilities multiple times throughout the day
sitting, standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, balancing and lifting up to 100 pounds.
Repeated hauling of loads up to 150 pounds in a wheelbarrow of distances up to 100 ft., and up a 30% incline onto a truck bed.
Repeated use of proper hand tools as necessary to perform the planting of trees, shrubs and other plant materials in the methods approved by Southwood.
Exposure to fertilizers and pesticides.
Work environment is a combination of indoors in a greenhouse and outdoors in all types of weather including extreme heat, cold, and various types of precipitation.
Education:
High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Work Location: various locations departing from 9025 S Lewis Avenue via company truck most days
