Southwest Center is Hiring a Weekend Residential Supervisor Near Louisville, KY

We are seeking applicants for an The Weekend Residential Supervisor who is responsible for the operations of multiple staffed residential homes during the weekend and assigned holiday hours, including supervising, training, coaching, disciplining, and evaluating staff. The Weekend Residential Supervisor must ensure that the needs of all residents are met and their health, safety, and welfare are assured. Qualifications/Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age
Must pass a criminal background check
Must pass pre-employment & random drug testing
Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving and good driving record
Must have proof of auto insurance
Must be available during the weekend hours and assigned holidays to supervise the residential services, assist staff in homes, and staff as a last resort when no leads or staff are available
Must be able to have a basic understanding of financial statements and how they affect the operations
Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent
Must have at least two years of experience working with individuals who have developmental and/or intellectual disabilities
Must have at least one year of supervisory experience, preferably in an organization that provides services to persons with disabilities
Able to read, understand and implement written and oral instructions.
Ability to maintain client confidentiality
Must have good computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Must be able to multi-task
Must be able to handle stressful situations
Responsibilities:
Be a proven leader for a team of employees
Supervises and assist DSPs (Direct Support Professionals) while working with individuals in their home
Works with the medical team to ensure all policies are followed for medication administration in residential homes supported or managed by the Southwest Center, even if a client is self-medicated.
Ensures all medications errors are followed up on and reported properly
Ensures all policies are being followed as pertains to medical appointments and follow-ups
Works with the medical team to ensure knowledge of all medical needs of any client residing in the home and ensure their medical needs are taken care of properly and timely. This includes training on specific medical equipment used by individuals.
Reviews daily notes and addresses any and all concerns that may be listed.
Trains all staff on policies of the Southwest Center, the roles in the house and the duties expected on shifts, and any documentation needing to be completed in the home.
Ensures staff is completing all documentation correctly.
Alerts the Manager on call and/or the Program Director of any major concerns or repeated problems occurring so that they can address the issue at a different level. This will occur after you have tried to address the situation yourself.
Completes incident reports into the MWMA within the regulated guidelines. Ensure all incident reports are turned in on time and are completed correctly by the staff before returning to office. Ensure all team members are notified within the regulated guidelines.
Holds client and office specific training sessions in the homes for staff.
Communicates with families, guardians, Case Managers, and other providers as needed for the individuals living in the assigned team.
Works shifts in the homes when no other staff are available, this includes overnights, weekends and holidays.
Works with the Program Director to ensure all homes are operating within the stated budget.
Observes, or administers medications as needed during hours working.
Addresses any medication alerts as soon as the alert is received.
Assists or conduct taking people into the community as needed.
Be present in the homes as much as possible with or without notice to the staff working in the homes.
Monitors emergency drills conducted on the weekend to ensure that evacuation is completed timely and efficiently as possible.
Documents activities as needed in the OASIS Electronic documentation system.
Cooperates and works as a team member with co-workers and supervisors. Treats co-workers and supervisors with respect. Promotes teamwork and maintains a positive attitude.
Completes initial and annual training-(CPR, First Aid, Tb skin assessment, etc.) as directed by Agency policy and regulatory standards. Attends monthly staff meetings and additional staff development trainings as scheduled.
Adheres to Agency policy and procedures. Maintains a consistent work attendance record. Limits use of calling off to a minimum and notifies direct supervisor in appropriate amount of time when unable to report to work.
Fosters collaborative working relationships among members of the leadership and management teams and programs.
