CUSTODIAN

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment and assisting in maintenance services between the Custodial Foreperson, the cleaning contractor's service and Administration.

REOUIREMENTS: Minimum of three years experience in public education preferred.High school diploma or equivalent, preferred. Successful experience in and demonstrated knowledge of school custodial work methods, materials, and equipment. Ability to verbally communicate with staff.

DUTIES: Assists Administration in duties related to school operations and performs specific duties consisting of, but not limited to, the following:

1. Works independently to routinely complete dally work schedule for the school within time frequency provided

2. Routinely follows proper cleaning procedures and uses proper cleaners productively, and according to directions

3. Routinely uses and operates cleaning equipment and tools

4. Moves furniture, collects and disposes of trash/garbage, and performs other related tasks necessary for the cleanliness of the school

5. Performs routine maintenance on the school

6. Cleans equipment and tools after use and stores in areas assigned

7. Attends training courses as required

8. Routinely reports safety hazards, malfunctions of equipment or plant facility or observed maintenance needs to immediate supervisor

9. Inspects work upon completion of assigned schedule and completes any unfinished work

10. Follows adopted policies and procedures in accordance with school priorities

11. Conducts oneself in the best interest of students

12. Other Duties as Assigned

SALARY: Commensurate with Qualifications and Experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
