Position Summary

Southern Land Company, a national real estate development and construction firm is seeking a full-time Sales Agent to join our dynamic team at our Westhaven Community.

This position will represent all homebuilders in the Westhaven community selling new construction homes, interact with prospective homebuyers and provide community information and homebuying opportunities to meet sales goals, and work within a sales team environment with shared commissions. This position requires a Tennessee Real Estate license and must be able to work weekends.

Located in Franklin, Tennessee, which is consistently named one of America’s Best Small Towns, Westhaven is one of the Nashville area’s preeminent neighborhoods, widely recognized for impeccable streetscapes and classic design standards that are as sustainable as they are beautiful. Westhaven offers world-class amenities including Westhaven Golf Club, swim center, and fitness center. The Village Center provides shops, restaurants, and a calendar of events including concerts, outdoor movies, and farmers markets.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Consult with buyers and their agents to understand their homebuying needs and decision-making processes.
  • Aggressive follow up with prospective buyers and their agents.
  • Create written purchase agreements with very detailed accuracy to present to builder clients.
  • Rigorously prospect for new business by following up with leads in the pipeline to ensure sales growth.
  • Document prospect information and interactions and lead follow up in a timely manner in CRM system.
  • Collaborate and share information with sales team.
  • Collaborate with builders in product planning and specifications details to ensure cutting edge products within the marketplace.
  • Provide world class customer service to buyers to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Supervise the closing process to provide customers and builder clients with an efficient, smooth, and positive transaction experience.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience

  • Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal professionally with customers, builder clients, and colleagues in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to take initiative, use good judgment, demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail, and carry multiple projects through to completion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize work, and ask for assistance and clarification when necessary.
  • Ability to deal with frequent interruptions, unresolved situations, frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Professional appearance and presentation.
  • Ability to keep sensitive information highly confidential.

Education and Experience

  • Experience in onsite, new home construction preferred
  • 2 years’ experience in similar position
  • Past commissioned sales experience
  • Active TN real estate license
  • TN Broker License preferred
