Job Summary and Qualifications

• You will be an active administrative member of the Nursing Management Team and will assume responsibility for facilitating safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective care for patients throughout the hospital on an assigned shift
• Your principle responsibilities will include facilitating staffing to meet the needs of patients for care, providing clinical support, promoting patient flow, communication with other agencies, and response to internal or external disasters- in addition, you will promote clinical initiatives, patient safety initiatives and quality improvement activities
• You may also work as a registered nurse in a variety of areas in the hospital based upon knowledge, skills, and abilities and so will therefore maintain current competency with nursing skills and demonstrates knowledge regarding Standards of Care and Standards of Practice
• You will demonstrate judgment, discretion, diplomacy and a working knowledge of Hospital and Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and Policies and Procedures

What qualifications you will need:

• Associates Degree from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role in an acute care hospital preferred
• Demonstrated experience in leadership/ management and establishing interpersonal relationships necessary to promote an effective working environment
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications
