The Emergency Department Nurse Manager will report directly to the Director of Emergency Services. Supported by several tenured charge nurses, this person will lead a fantastic team and busy department with over 20 FTEs. The staff here is passionate about the care they provide and are a happy and cohesive team, eagerly looking to welcome in a new manager.
The Emergency Department Nurse Manager will be in charge of overseeing that care provided by nurses is efficient and thorough. This involves keeping staff up to date with current best practices and making sure they are following guidelines set by the hospital. In addition, the position requires collaboration with the Director and other hospital managers to achieve the highest level of operational and clinical efficiency that aligns with the hospital’s standards and values. The Emergency Department Nurse Manager will also have opportunities to develop their staff through education and quality improvement initiatives.
