Southern Healthcare Solutions, LLC is Hiring a Lexington, TN - Certified Nurse Aide - Unity Hospice Care Near Lexington, TN

Unity Hospice Care is seeking a full-time CNA.

 JOB SUMMARY:

 An individual who, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, provides personal care services within the guidelines of the Interdisciplinary Group Plan of Care to Patients enrolled in the Hospice Program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Meets federal home health aide training and competency requirements. 
 
Must be certified by the state.
 
Speaks, writes, reads, and comprehends English
 
Able to lift, push, and pull light to moderate loads.

RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):

Under the direction and ongoing supervision of the RN, provides essential personal care assistance to the client
 
Preparing and serving meals according to POC.
 
Assist with bath, care of mouth, skin and hair.
 
Assist with prescribed exercises, which the client and home health aide have been taught by appropriate professional personnel.
 
By performing such incidental household services as are essential to the client’s well being at home.
 
Takes client’s temperature, pulse and respiration if requested by the POC.
 
Provides emotional support and compassionate care to the client and family.
 
Maintains required competency and skills.
 
Reports any changes in the client’s condition or family situation immediately by calling the Hospice office and notifying the Team Leader and/or the Client Care Coordinator.
 
Practices Universal precautions according to OSHA regulations and Hospice Policy and Procedures.
 
Attends at least twelve (12) hours of continuing education programs or approved audiovisuals per calendar year.
 
Documents all client-related activities in a timely manner.
 
Reacts to change productively and performs other job-related tasks and duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Able to lift, push, and pull light to moderate loads. Moderately heavy physical effort. May occasionally do heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling.

Current Driver’s License
 
Current Automobile Liability Insurance According to Company Policy & Procedure
 
State Certificate
