JOB SUMMARY:

The Scheduler will focus on interacting with caregivers, clients, and families, scheduling all shifts assignments in accordance with company standards and protocols. The Scheduler is often a primary contact for caregivers, clients and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum of two years scheduling experience in health care and/or personal care. Associate Degree in health related field is preferred.

2. Knowledge of basic medical terminology.

3.Proficient in Microsoft Office Skills i.e., Word, Outlook and Excel.

4.Proficient in Website Navigation, Software knowledge in Sandata, Santrax and Availity preferred.

5.Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

6. Must have excellent telephone skills.

7. Must be detail oriented with attention to accuracy, completeness and timeliness.

8. Must be able to multi-tasking, organizational skills, and time management skills.

9.Excellent problem solving capabilities, common sense, persuasiveness, and diplomacy.

10.Ability to work effectively in a team and accept direction from management.

RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):

1.Understands and adheres to established policies and Procedures.

2.Coordinates work schedules by allocating employees in shifts and position.

3.Manages schedules of the Healthcare staff and assures assignments are carried out.

4.Contact patients and caregivers regarding day-to-day changes.

5.Monitors employee compliance in State Regulations, and Policy and Procedures.

6. Assist in the new hire orientation.

7.Assist with quarterly in-service trainings, meetings and ensure documents adhere to program compliance.

8. Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- Able to lift, push, pull and lift 25 pounds.

- Able to sit for long periods; visual acuity for computer input; and repetitive computer keying activities.

- Manual dexterity required in the occasional operations of office equipment and machines.

- Must have visual and hearing acuity.

LICENSES and CERTIFICATIONS:

- Current Driver’s License

- Current Automobile Liability Insurance According to Company Policy & Procedure.
