Job Description:

The Business Development Specialist role combines Sales and Marketing within the Business Development Division and is responsible for carrying out the day to day tasks associated with executing the marketing and sales strategies achieving the result of signing up new clients. This person reports directly to the President.

Basic Functions:

  1. Lead generation and qualifying
  2. Direct communication with leads/prospects and referral partners via phone, email, video, and in person
  3. Scheduling meetings, identifying prospect needs, communicating solutions, and persistently following up
  4. Documenting information collected in sales process communications
  5. Closing deals and converting leads/prospects into clients
  6. Ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience for new clients
  7. Communicating internally with operations to coordinate solutions delivery and onboarding
  8. Tracking leads/prospects throughout the entire sales process
  9. Generating, maintaining, and submitting sales tracking data
  10. Creating, maintaining, and distributing sales/marketing materials
  11. Branding integration
  12. Routinely provide updates and feedback to direct supervisor

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Communicating available services/products to existing clients
  2. Collaborating with cross functional and/or special project teams
  3. Coordinating with vendors and referral partners
  4. Networking and promotional events
  5. General marketing and sales activities as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

  2. Excellent written and oral professional communication skills
  3. Quickly learn and understand features and benefits of new technology

  5. Proficiency with general business tools such as Microsoft Excel/Word, Google Sheets/Docs, etc.
