TITLE : Health Office Aide (Elementary)

QUALIFICATIONS : High School Diploma and First Aid, CPR and AED Certification

REPORTS TO : Building Principal and Licensed School Nurse

JOB GOAL : To assist the School Nurse in implementing a well-organized health program.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Monitor ill / injured students, apply first aid, and screen students to determine the course of action. Refers as appropriate.
• Dispense medication.

3. Perform daily charting. This includes any student seen in the Health Office, medications administered, accident forms for students requiring attention and updating student health records.

• Restock medical supplies.
• Assist in maintaining student health records and other data.
• Assist and support the School Nurse.
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
• The employee is responsible for being knowledgeable about all district policies.
