TITLE: Health Office Aide (Elementary)

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Certified

QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma and First Aid, CPR and AED Certification

REPORTS TO: Building Principal and Licensed School Nurse

JOB GOAL: To assist the School Nurse in implementing a well-organized health program.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitor ill/injured students, apply first aid, and screen students to determine the course of action. Refers as appropriate.

Dispense medication.

3. Perform daily charting. This includes any student seen in the Health Office, medications administered, accident forms for students requiring attention and updating student health records.

Restock medical supplies.

Assist in maintaining student health records and other data.

Assist and support the School Nurse.

Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

The employee is responsible for being knowledgeable about all district policies.
