Source Energy Services Proppants LP is Hiring a HSE Manager - Production Near Eau Claire, WI

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees Source Energy Services safety policies, procedures, and operating practices and to ensure compliance with local, state, provincial and federal Mining Safety rules and regulations.
  • Oversees the SES HSE Management System and ensures effective implementation through programs and processes.
  • Serves as primary contact in the event of any serious incidents at company locations.
  • Assists and coaches the operational accident investigations, with particular attention given to the identification of root causes and effective corrective actions. Prepares report and analyses of industrial accident causes and hazards to health for use by company personnel, external customers, and vendors.
  • Ensures inspections at all production locations are completed to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards; determines corrective action plan and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented working with management and HSE representatives.
  • Oversees the administration of workers’ compensation program, including working with the insurance carrier to reduce employee lost time.
  • Represents the organization in community or industry safety groups and programs.
  • Oversees HSE training for all employees, contractors, and site visitors ensures proper training documentation and maintains training record files as indicated by company policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinates/conducts/assists health and industrial hygiene monitoring activities.
  • Generates and submits regulatory reports to governing bodies - MSHA.
  • Responds to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Travels to SES business units on a frequent basis (25-35% travel).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of applicable HSE standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and HSE databases.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to travel to Canada locations.
  • Develop and implement effective HSE strategies and management systems.
  • Able to work autonomously and be a self-driver.
  • Manage time effectively, set priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Foster and develop a cooperative work environment.
  • Have sound prudent and independent judgment.
  • Communicate and work effectively with employees at all levels of the company.
  • Certified Safety Professional, preferred.
  • MSHA experience and knowledge, preferred.
  • OSHA and/or MSHA certification, preferred.
