Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) as scheduled for the purpose of maximizing equipment availability and minimizing repair costs. PM will consist of safety and mechanical inspections (e.g. fluid and filter changes per specific equipment) lubrication, services and adjustments beyond the operator’s responsibility. Operators may assist with the work unless directed otherwise.
• Schedule mobile equipment maintenance evenly so only a minimum number of similar pieces of equipment are out of service at any one time.
• Track equipment repair orders (ERO’s) daily. Record data to capture information on equipment life expectancies, and to predict future equipment and training requirements. Completed ERO’s to be filed with equipment history records.
• Coordinate repairs with block labor mechanics and/or contracted outside companies, which are beyond the capability or scope of what can be done on site.
• Help detect minor deficiencies before they develop into costly repairs and coordinates parts orders to maintain an inventory of basic parts and supplies needed to maintain heavy equipment.
• Provide management with weekly analysis of maintenance and repairs for all mobile equipment.
• Comply with all safety, state and federal regulations.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair mobile equipment at both plants.
• Work with Mobile Maintenance Supervisor for necessary parts and supplies to have at the plants for preventive maintenance.
• Review operator pre shift inspections daily and maintaining files by date order on all of these.
• Maintain an active list of repairs generated from pre shift inspections.
• Providing a daily report by email to supervisor of tasks completed and outstanding, along with parts order status’.
• Perform additional duties as needed and assigned.
