Catering Sales Producer
Soul & Smoke is adding to our sales team. We’re a small, collaborative group, and need help handling our growing business. The full-time role is based in our Evanston office, with some local travel (in company vehicles) to events and clients. Things you’ll book:
Food truck events
Drop off catering
Full-service events in our restaurant's private dining spaces
Grocery store and corporate client tastings

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Act as a primary point of contact for clients from initial inquiry through event execution, answering emails and phone calls promptly and providing exceptional client service.
Create proposals and plans for executing events while remaining within client budgetary requirements.
Proactively reach out to potential corporate catering clients, setting up and delivering tastings as needed.
Deliver drop-off catering occasionally when/if drivers are not available.
Some on-site event coordination and supervision.
Ensure event details are on the Company calendar and event staff is scheduled.
Foster open lines of communication with all team members to create a seamless experience for the client.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Two years of restaurant, catering, and/or event experience
One year of leadership experience
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Strong and positive communication and relations with clients and coworkers
Project management experience
Attention to detail – organized and efficient
Developed customer service skills and mindset
Strong computer skills
Ability to stay calm and make good decisions under pressure
Professional and proactive
Sense of teamwork and urgency
Sales- and big-picture-minded

JOB TYPE:
This is a full-time position. Open to hourly with a commission or salary with a commission, depending on experience and needs. Normally scheduled days are Monday - Friday. Some flexibility is required to work evening or weekend events when needed, will know about these in advance.
