Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Event Coordinator to join our energetic, fast paced team. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and executing events to support our nonprofit's mission, and meet or exceed our annual fundraising goals. This is a dynamic role that requires excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. You must have a passion for making a difference in the community.
Responsibilities:
· Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of fundraising events, community outreach events, and other special events hosted by the organization.
· Develop event timelines, budgets, and logistical plans, ensuring all deadlines and objectives are met.
· Secure event venues, vendors, and sponsors, negotiating contracts and agreements as needed.
· Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to promote events and recruit participants, volunteers, and sponsors.
· Oversee event logistics, including set-up, registration, catering, audiovisual needs, and breakdown.
· Manage event volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure a smooth and successful event experience.
· Track event attendance, revenue, and expenses, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
· Evaluate event success and identify areas for improvement, incorporating feedback into future event planning efforts.
· Represent the organization professionally at events and engage with attendees to promote our mission and initiatives.
· Attend Level 10 team meeting as required.
· Demonstrate all SOS Care Core Values
· Maintain confidentiality and comply with data privacy regulations and SOS policies.

Qualifications are as follow:
Previous experience in event planning, coordination, or management, preferably in a nonprofit or community-focused setting. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree in event management, hospitality, marketing, or a related field not required, but preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules. Passion for the mission and values of SOS Care, with a commitment to making a positive impact in the community.
