The position is responsible for overseeing Inventory Management/Item Master/System Updates/Physical Dashboard. Subject matter expert on item flow through Sony Music landscape. Drives process and improvements as well as efficiencies with the team. This individual will work closely with Sony Music Labels, The Orchard, Ex-US affiliates, Finance, and Global Technology.

What you'll do:

  • Aid in the development, preparation, and the analysis of Key Supply Chain metrics.

  • Responsible for the Physical Dashboard: distribution, preparation, analysis, and results.

  • Coordinates system enhancements and drives new process improvements as well as creating efficiencies within the team.
    - Participates in weekly and ad hoc meetings related to physical item maintenance in CDS and GRPS. Quarterly meetings with the Labels.
  • Oversight of set up and maintenance of physical music and non-music products in SME’s inventory management system, CDS (Common Distribution System), for all SME divisions, (Columbia, Epic, Legacy, Masterworks, Nashville), plus CoR (Ceremony of Roses Merchandise) and Orchard Enterprises.
  • Oversight of daily set ups, mass ingestion and maintenance of physical music products in for all labels distributed by Orchard Enterprises in GRPS (Global Release Planning System). This Includes catalog ingests via GRPS Direct Import for newly acquired labels.
  • Product set ups for CoR (Ceremony of Roses) merchandise for Legacy and non-Sony artists in GRPS. This includes frequent use of GRPS Product Direct import functionality for large TOUR, and E-commerce set ups.
  • Management and maintenance of Item reports in the CDS and Business Object databases for Distribution and Sales divisions. This includes running set weekly reports and developing new reports as requested.

- Works with IT to initiate and test new programming initiatives in GRPS and CDS test systems. Ensure new programming works as required and existing functionality is maintained and updates as required. Cross other divisions of Sony Music to support other divisions (finance, order management, etc.).

  • Manage Ad hoc projects/analysis as required.

Who you are:

  • Possess undergraduate degree in Business with a minimum of 7 years’ work experience managing inventory/items (preferred). Master Degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • You have an advanced knowledge of all primary MS Office software and advanced Excel skills. Power BI, preferred.
  • You are responsible and accountable for everything you do and take pride in everything we achieve together. Must demonstrate a commitment to the constant improvement of day-to-day operations and processes.
  • A highly organized person that pays close attention to the details. Independent thinker – must have ability to make decisions and work independently.
  • You are an excellent communicator, have great leadership skills, and are an enthusiastic collaborator who works well with team members, internal and external partners.
