We are looking for a Program Finance Specialist to join the Sonatech team.

Job Description: The Program Finance Specialist (PFS) is responsible for leading program finance, analyzing program finance data, budgeting, reporting, conducting root cause variance analysis, providing guidance and outlook on the financial status of assigned programs, and managing all aspects of program finance. In addition, the PFS supports proposal cost estimating and pricing. The PFS plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient and accurate financial reporting and adherence to contract compliance. Work is performed independently under general supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary point of contact for all financial aspects of the programs.
  • Review and analyze program expenses against budget, explain variances.
  • Report program performance including progress to plan, performance taken, and remaining effort.
  • Prepare internal and external financial reports.
  • Work with program team to ensure program forecasts are accurately reflected in business P&L, business cash flow forecasts, and earnings forecasts, for quarterly, annual, and long-range planning.
  • Support program staff and management with ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Support Proposal Preparation by leading pricing efforts, financial tables, payment schedules/milestones generation, and supporting proposal reviews.
  • Train program support staff on finance tools, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Expert in Microsoft Excel including but not limited to pivot tables, formulas, and graphing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
  • Familiarity and experience with U.S. Government contract types (Fixed Price, Cost Plus, etc.).
  • Familiarity and experience with costing and pricing compliant U.S. Department of Defense proposals.
  • Familiarity and experience with implementation and use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and financial reporting software.
  • Familiarity with General Ledger, Pricing, and Material Resource Planning (MRP) software such as QuickBooks, MISys Manufacturing, and ProPricer.
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles.
  • Excellent people skills, with ability to lead and collaborate in team environments.
  • Ability to interface and work with various cross functional teams and work effectively with various levels of the organization.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals, and write clear, concise instructions and correspondence.
  • Experience in projects and tasks involving complex details.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing projects.
  • 5 years of experience in program finance analysis.
  • 2 years of experience in the Aerospace industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • U.S. citizen.

Salary Range: $96,000 - $120,000
