Solutionreach is hiring a Software Engineer. We are a virtual first company, with teams working across North America. This role is virtual. #LI-Remote 

The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible to improve the process of writing, testing, and deploying software by designing and building systems, tools, pipelines, metrics, etc. that reduce the friction between authoring code and having it safely running in production. This may include building environments where the software will run, automating deployments, and monitoring those applications/systems. 

You are part of an agile team that will be continually learning. You will deliver end-to-end infrastructure management solutions in a cloud environment through infrastructure-as-code practices. Support and develop the CI/CD build and deployment pipeline. Provide the very best in class tooling and experience to our customers and to our application engineering, support, and professional services organizations.

Requirements

 What will I need to thrive in this role?

• You will have excellent communication skills. You love working within a team of talented engineers and learning and growing with them! You understand agile principles.
• You have 5 years of professional DevOps experience working with cloud services (preferably GCP) and a proven track record of building complex infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.You love supporting other engineers because you are one.
• You know how to code, and you understand infrastructure as code. You are familiar with Terraform, Docker, Ansible, CloudFormation, GitLab, Go, Bash, Python and Tekton.
• Your tooling will empower application engineers to deliver applications rapidly, safely, and smoothly to production environments and respond quickly to production issues. 
• You have an insatiable craving to keep learning and a discerning approach in adopting emerging best practices. 
• You possess advanced level knowledge of cloud design, architecture, and services (such as GCP GKE, BigTable, CloudSQL - PostgreSQL, Pub/Sub, etc). This includes cloud Infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud computing.
• You have a deep knowledge of Kubernetes, including custom resources and operators and want to make sure it is always available.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Gitlab-CI (preferred), Tekton (preferred), Jenkins, Harness, as well as a strong understanding of mesh networking (Istio).
• You have assisted in architecting and maintaining high availability production systems.
• Knowledge of system monitoring in a cloud environment including cloud specific products and tools (Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana, Loki, Stackdriver, Elasticsearch).
• Able to participate in an on-call rotation. 
• Exceptional debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with public cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, and/or Azure.

Bonus Qualifications 

• Experience with or understanding of Saltstack or similar configuration management tools.
• Understanding of certifications such as SOC/SOC II, HI Trust, HIPAA, and similar.
• Experience configuring VMware Tanzu.
• The ability to work with people across multiple disciplines to help turn their needs into an actionable DevOps ticket or project.
• Experience in APM tools like AppInsight, New Relic, or DataDog.
