Desktop Support Specialist - Field Technician (Storm Support) $20 / hr - $24 / hr

Solugenix is assisting a client in their search for a Desktop Support Specialist -Field Technician (Storm Support). This is a contract to possible hire opportunity based out of Detroit, MI.

Responsibilities :

In-field technical support of Panasonic Toughbook or similar and supporting infrastructure including docks, stands, wiring harnesses, and a 12-volt system.

Knowledge of Inverters / RAM Mounts / Adapters / Multimeter a plus).

  • Perform Provisioning and asset management for new builds / reinstalls etc leveraging DTE tools. (SCCM / ServiceNow or similar).
  • Software installation and troubleshooting including Windows 10 / 11, (MDM experience a plus, ADMS or Clicksoft).
  • L2 support for MDT devices (Hardware / Troubleshooting, mobile tablet, or rugged PC experience a plus).
  • Provide support 24 hours (12-hour shifts during active storms) DTE has reduced # of severe power outages and length of outages this year and wants to continue that trend, but OT is possible anytime that occurs).
  • Travel and On-demand Dispatch / preventive maintenance as part of the job requirement.
