Solara Home Energy is Hiring a Permit Specialist Near Murrieta, CA

Solara Home Energy is the premier solar installation company for California's finest New Home Builders. We work directly with New Home Builders and alongside all the other trades on constructing Solar-Ready new homes in accordance with the Title 24 laws passed in 2020.

Job Summary:

  • Permit Submission and tracking
  • Follow up with county departments as needed
  • Research county requirements and codes
  • Execute permit pickup and delivery (if needed)
  • Ensuring all teams and CRM are updated on permit status and maintain updated reporting, plans, etc. for start of construction
  • Help develop and work with various management teams to ensure efficient project management, and take timely action as construction progresses
  • Manage facilitation of reporting/ changes/ on site needs that arise mid construction including but not limited to: updated plans, on site changes that required changes to engineering/ permitting/ reporting or equipment changes

Minimum Requirements for Consideration:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Versatility, flexibility and willingness to work with changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Ability to communicate effectively with partners at all levels in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to act as a leader and team player with a willingness to act quickly, and hands on approach
  • Ability to problem solve and collaborate with multiple teams and bring together a resolution
  • Ability to manage time effectively and be focused on setting and executing clear objectives and priorities for yourself
  • Strong Customer service and interpersonal skills area must!
  • Previous experience in Solar, PV, Electrical or construction fields

*Background Check and Drug Screen required.

Responsibilities:

  • Own all aspects of permitting
  • Effectively manage interdepartmental communication for engineering/ permitting/ utility departments
  • Work with senior management to ensure efficient project execution
  • Identify gaps in execution of project rollout strategy, (engineering-permitting-special reports- in field communication and execution) and needed resources to execute
  • Collaborate and develop processes to streamline permitting and engineering processes where possible

Strong candidates will offer the following:

  • Knowledge of alternative energy industry
  • Knowledge of electrical theory preferred
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Team player, collaborative, able to work with others
  • Excel and CRM software knowledge

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
