Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Senior Technical Project Manager for a contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in New York, NY .

Responsibilities :

• Partner with the Technology Delivery Leader and business leaders to create and execute a multi-year vision and roadmap for their portfolio of applications.
• Contribute to the estimation and portfolio budget process while driving on-time and on-budget development of new functionality and RTB initiatives.
• Support and partner with the Squad Leaders and Product Owners to develop and maintain the delivery timeline.
• Contribute to resource capacity planning and staffing for the squads to ensure successful tech delivery.
• Provide high level oversight and direction of backlog management across squads.
• Host Scrum of Scrums to help facilitate and track technical activities being managed in the backlogs of each scrum team.
• Provide a single point of accountability for foundational services, engaging technical team members as needed.
• Responsibilities of the Technical Project Manager:
  • Project Planning and Execution: The Technical Project Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining the project plan, including defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines. They coordinate with stakeholders to ensure that project milestones are met and that the project is executed according to plan.
  • Resource Management: The Technical Project Manager manages project resources, including assigning tasks to team members, tracking progress, and ensuring that the necessary resources are available to complete the project successfully. They also monitor and manage project risks and issues, taking proactive measures to mitigate them.
  • Technical Expertise: The Technical Project Manager possesses a strong technical background and acts as a subject matter expert in the project's technical domain. They provide guidance and support to the team, ensuring that technical requirements are met and that the project's technical aspects are delivered effectively.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: The Technical Project Manager facilitates effective communication among project stakeholders, including team members, clients, and senior management. They provide regular project updates, manage expectations, and address any concerns or issues raised by stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance: The Technical Project Manager ensures that the project meets the required quality standards. They establish and implement quality assurance processes, conduct regular reviews and audits, and take corrective actions to address any quality issues that arise during the project lifecycle.

Required Skills:

• 10 - 15 years of experience as a Technical Project Manager in an enterprise environment, preferably in financial services.
