Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Data Scientist for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Financial Services client that is remote .
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Mid-Level Data Scientist to join our team. The Mid-Level Data Scientist will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, developing predictive models, and providing actionable insights to drive business decisions. This role requires a solid foundation in statistics, machine learning, and programming, along with proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Azure, Snowflake, and Power BI.
Responsibilities :

• Analyze complex datasets to extract meaningful patterns and insights.
• Develop predictive models and algorithms to solve business problems and improve decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business value.
• Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses and validate models.
• Utilize tools such as Microsoft Azure, Snowflake, and Power BI for data storage, processing, visualization, and reporting.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data science, AI, and machine learning.
• All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience working as a Data Scientist or a similar role.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts and techniques, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and data warehousing tools like Snowflake.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
