Overview

Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of an Security Control Application Engineer (C*Cure) for an existing government client. The place of performance for this contract is in Washington, DC.

MINIMUM SECRET CLEARANCE WITH LATER UPGRADE TO TS SCI REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Responsible for fulfilling access control programming instructions as provided by system engineers.
• Knowledge of physical security automated access control applications.
• Provides support with semi-complex testing and troubleshooting in a variety of engineering tasks.
• Knowledge of automated workflow ticketing systems preferably Maximo.
• Troubleshoot various system malfunctions with end users, to include installation technicians. Communicate with on-site personnel to properly evaluate and resolve the system malfunction.
• Generate system application reports based on provided requirements and parameters.
• Provide semi-complex design, development, testing and modifications of solutions material. specification and schematic preparation other system operations assistance and appropriate follow-up.
• Must be capable of processing, interpreting, resolving readily identifiable to complex, less clearly defined technical access control issues.
• Tier II or III Helpdesk experience helpful.
• Must have a good understanding of networking principles.
• Provide technical assistance to the client to include identity management system interface. troubleshooting. Knowledge of applicable government standards and guidelines for electronic security systems, anti-terrorism/force protection.
• Must be able to provide periodic 24/7 on call support.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education and or combination of education, experience and or certifications a plus, Software House C*CURE 9000 System Manager, Windows Operating Systems and or related access control security disciplines preferred.
• Candidates must be able to successfully pass Software House C*CURE 9000 System Installer Course within first 45 days of hire.
• Candidate must be a US Citizen and will be subject to a government security investigation to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Minimum Secret clearance with later upgrade to TS SCI required.
• The Access Control Application Engineer Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience, in enterprise automated physical access control and intrusion detection (ACS/IDS) systems.
• Preferable Software House C*CURE 9000 Certification or related experience a plus. 
• Must have experience installing, designing and performing maintenance functions on intrusion detection security systems and CCTV cameras integrated with Network Security Protocols, Active Directory, and associated hardware.
• Software House C*CURE 9000 System Manager/Advanced System Manager and/or System Integrator/Advanced System Integrator certifications desired.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work with little to no oversight.
• Able to work independently.
