Society St Vincent De Paul is Hiring an ACCOUNTING COORDINATOR Near St. Louis, MO

OVERVIEW:
This position processes accounts payable, credit card reconciliations, and other accounting responsibilities as assigned. This position also assists the Development and Vincentian Support teams in support of the SVdP mission and its programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Finance Responsibilities:
  • Process A/P (enter invoices and credit card expenses, process vendor payments, copy, mail, file – payment requests, weekly credit card notifications, set up new vendors, collect W9’s, communication with vendors to solve discrepancies, etc.)
  • Review of Vincentian Program payment requests (assists with collecting missing documentation, review for completion on compliance)
  • Assists Vincentian Programs with monthly outcome reporting
  • Assist finance team with 990 & Annual Report data consolidation from CAR reports and Special Projects (1099/W9, Vendor/Customer clean up and maintenance, key box project, file clean up, etc.)
  • Assist with Conference Grant payment requests, spreadsheet upkeep and communication
  • Provide back up support to Development for donation coding (lockbox, credit card donations, check donations)
  • Assist with month- and year-end closings, and annual audit, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Associate Degree in Accounting/Business
  • Two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS
  • Knowledge of:
    • MS Windows (Advanced level)
    • Bookkeeping and Accounting GAAP (Entry level)
    • QuickBooks, preferred
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Oral and written communication to wide and varied audiences
    • Problem solving
    • Organization and prioritization
    • Attention to detail
    • Work in a highly organized, thorough, and detail-oriented manner
    • Work on multiple projects at once in fast-paced environment
  • Physical:
    • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
    • Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear
    • Occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
