Society Hill Synagogue Playschool is seeking a dynamic, warm, and experienced Assistant Teacher. The Assistant Teacher will work closely fellow lead teachers and assistant teachers from other classes to ensure the safety and well-being of all students and to support the academic and social-emotional growth and development of all children in their care.
This position’s schedule averages 25 hours per week during the regular work week. The hourly pay is commensurate with experience, and the compensation package includes paid vacation, paid holidays, and paid sick leave. Society Hill Synagogue employees may opt to participate in a retirement plan.

ABOUT SOCIETY HILL SYNAGOGUE PLAYSCHOOL
Society Hill Synagogue Playschool is a welcoming, inclusive school for children ages 18 months-5 years old that embraces diversity in religion, ethnicity, race, and family structure. We have six classes and currently serve approximately 65 students and their families.
Our philosophy is child-centered and play-based. We believe that children learn through play in a safe and nurturing environment. We respect children as individuals and respond to their needs with compassion and dedication. Through planning and observation, our teachers and environment provide stimulating experiences designed to enrich the whole child, including social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and creative development.
We relish the opportunities for children to grow, socialize, and flourish in our indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the Paula Kline Learning Center, our historic synagogue building, and the natural environment in the beautiful Society Hill setting.
