SOC is Hiring a Sr. Pipe Support Engineer - Richland, WA Energy Services Near Richland, WA
Sr. Pipe Support Engineer needed for a contract opportunity with SOC's client to work onsite in Richland, WA. Contract Length: 1 year, possibility to extend or convert to client FTEThis position is a full-time role in the Richland, Washington project office and requires onsite work. This position works a 9/80 schedule, offering every other Friday off.Essential duties include the locating and designing supports for various piping systems and performing associated calculations. Candidate should be familiar with common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes such as AISC & ASME B31.3.Responsibilities:
- Work closely with layout personnel, pipe stress and other support engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required.
- Prior experience should include working in a 3D model environment.
- BS degree with 9 years of related experience.
- Strong knowledge of AISC and ASME B31.3 and other relevant industry codes and standards
- Prior experience using structural analysis programs
- PE Registration
- Prior experience using pipe stress analysis programs ME150 (FAPPS) or GT STRUDL
- Prior experience using Pipe Support Modeler software
- Previous DOD/DOE project experience
- Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
- Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site.
- Must be US Citizen.
