Summary: Craig Technologies has an opening for a Sr. Pipe Support Engineer position in Richland, WA at The Hanford Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant. In the position you will work closely with layout personnel and pipe stress and other support engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required. Prior experience should include working in a 3D model environment. This position is a full-time role in the Richland, Washington project office. Upon initial hire and onboarding, the position will require full-time presence in the Richland, Washington project office. This position works a 9/80 schedule, offering every other Friday off.
Detailed Description:
Essential duties include locating and designing supports for various piping systems and performing associated calculations.
Candidate should be familiar with common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes such as AISC & ASME B31.3.
Position Requirements:
US Citizenship Required.
Strong knowledge of AISC and ASME B31.3 and other relevant industry codes and standards.
Prior experience using structural analysis programs.
BS degree with 9 years of related experience.
Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site.
Preferred Qualifications:
PE Registration.
Prior experience using pipe stress analysis programs ME150 (FAPPS) or GT STRUDL.
Prior experience using Pipe SupportModeler software.
Previous Bechtel project experience.
Previous DOD/DOE project experience.
