Role:
The Financial Analyst provides financial analysis within Soarion Credit Union to enhance financial decision making. The role is accountable for executing and improving functions of Soarion Credit Union’s Asset Liability Management Program. This requires the role to collaborate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external business partners.
What you will be doing:
- Financial Analyst will maintain the recurring data needs of Finance and Accounting. In particular,
- CECL related monthly data loads and QC
- ALM quarterly data for Interest Rate Risk monitoring & reporting
- Monthly dashboard and committee meeting data for ALCO, Product Pricing, ALLL, Insurance Committee and Board Reports
- Provide expertise to create reporting and analysis that improves and automates the financial data collection and reporting process.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare month-end management and board reports that are accurate, include clear written communication and completed by established deadlines.
- Collaborate with departments for the creation of business case and profitability/expenditure analysis.
- Manage collateral pledges and associated reporting for FHLB, Federal Reserve and Corporate Credit Unions.
- Assist in the annual revenue, expense, and capital budgeting process.
- Develop and design financial models to support strategic planning for the credit union. To include but not limited to revenue analysis, financial planning and consolidation, project planning, forecasting models.
- Responsible for monitoring current liquidity position and providing projections for anticipated liquidity needs.
- Monitor Finance & Accounting vendors within Venminder.
- Support the implementation, set up and ongoing maintenance of SAP Concur and Axiom.
- Serve as a backup up for wire transfer releases.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
What you'll bring along :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Must have at least (2) years of professional experience in accounting, financial analysis, or strategic planning.
